About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to patrol a residential apartment community in Coney Island, New York. The officer will monitor the community and its perimeter, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond professionally to concerns, and provide customer service to residents and visitors. The role follows site-specific policies and procedures and may include emergency response activities. The posted schedule is Monday and Wednesday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM. Pay is $17.00 per hour. Officers can use Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the apartment community and its perimeter.
Maintain a visible security presence to help deter incidents and support a welcoming environment.
Communicate clearly and respond professionally to concerns from residents and visitors.
Carry out emergency response activities when appropriate.
