Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related concerns, and support staff, patients, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, medical personnel, and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and document daily activities, observations, and/or incidents according to post orders and Allied Universal standards.
  • Support a professional environment by assisting with directions, reporting hazards or maintenance issues, and following client-facing policies related to privacy, conduct, and/or restricted areas.
