About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time in Overland Park, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide compassionate customer service and communication. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be willing to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facility buildings, parking areas, entry points, and surrounding grounds to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials as directed, and helping maintain an orderly environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Document observations, incidents, patrol activities, and communications accurately and promptly in accordance with site requirements.
