As a Security Officer Full Time in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and driver logs, and control access to restricted areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Assist with managing vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian access at gates, docks, and/or designated checkpoints; communicate access concerns to site contacts and supervisors.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and loading areas to identify and report unusual activity, access-control concerns, and facility conditions.
