Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a government transportation location.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, roadways, transit-related facilities, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and unauthorized access.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report access-control concerns according to site procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, traffic-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and emergency responders when appropriate.
Prepare clear and accurate reports, complete daily activity logs, and promptly communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
