About The Position

Allied Universal is currently hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a Pharma Company in Lexington MA. This role involves serving and safeguarding clients in various industries, including healthcare. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will have the flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support staff, visitors, and patients with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed by site policies, and document security-related observations, incidents, and daily activities in required reports.
  • Support a professional environment by following post orders, assisting with directions and general inquiries, and helping to address security-related concerns with courtesy and attention to site protocols.
