Join Allied Universal as an unarmed driving patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes exposure to the morgue.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access, assist with directional support, and report maintenance, hazard, and/or policy concerns.
  • Support healthcare location operations by observing and reporting security-related concerns, assisting with visitor interactions, and following Allied Universal post orders and client-specific expectations.
