About The Position

As a Security Officer Medical Center in Trenton, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued license for security-related work is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site protocols, assisting with directions, de-escalation, and other security-related support as appropriate.
  • Support a professional healthcare environment by observing and reporting hazards, policy concerns, and/or suspicious behavior while interacting respectfully with patients and staff.
