Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor front desk activity, manage visitor access procedures, verify identification as required, and document arrivals, departures, and/or deliveries in accordance with site guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders when needed.
  • Answer questions, provide directions, and support lobby and entry point operations while helping to maintain orderly access and adherence to posted rules and protocols.
  • Prepare logs, incident reports, and other required documentation related to front desk activity, visitor interactions, and/or security-related events.
