Requirements

  • At least two years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity; report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
