Requirements

  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Have at least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of facility areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access-control procedures, and report suspicious activity or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, observations, and actions taken, and communicate professionally with healthcare personnel and responding agencies.
