Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, applicants, and employees at a government motor vehicle services office while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor access points, public waiting areas, service counters, and surrounding areas to help maintain an orderly environment and report unusual activity or policy concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter, documenting observations and reporting maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Assist with directing visitors, managing queues during high-volume periods, and providing general information while maintaining a professional presence.
