About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer to serve and safeguard clients in industries including healthcare, education, and finance. Officers use a shift-pickup platform to view and claim open shifts based on their availability, gaining experience at different sites. The role may involve irregular shifts with little or no advance notice. Pay is $24.00 per hour, paid weekly. Full-time employees receive medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and life insurance benefits; part-time employees are eligible for the 401(k) retirement savings plan.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
Valid driver's license; required if driving a company- or customer-owned vehicle. The posting also states candidates must have a valid driver's license.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Be at least 18 years old, or older if required by the state; 21 years old if armed.
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write informatively, clearly, and accurately.
Active listening and problem-solving skills.
Ability to assess and evaluate situations and identify critical issues quickly and accurately.

Nice To Haves

Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in case of fire or the presence of unauthorized persons.
Warn people of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized property removal complies with client requirements.
Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, and maintain written logs as required by the post.
Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously and professionally.
Make emergency notifications as necessary according to site Post Orders.
