Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, perimeter, parking areas, and other assigned areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorization in accordance with site procedures, and document visitor, employee, and contractor activity as required.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports related to incidents, patrols, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
