About The Position

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, staff, and/or visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related support, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior common areas, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas, helping to deter unauthorized activity and policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support authorized access, observe resident and visitor activity, and report unusual behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Assist with security-related support in a shelter environment by helping to de-escalate conflicts, providing direction to visitors and residents, and following post orders and site policies during daily operations.
