About The Position

Allied Universal is seeking a full-time Armed Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a financial institution in Cincinnati, Ohio. The role involves maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring and patrolling the facility, supporting access control, responding to security situations, and providing customer service and communication. The position pays $28.00 per hour and follows a scheduled daytime shift pattern: Tuesday and Wednesday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM; Thursday and Friday, 6:30 AM–6:30 PM. The officer will conduct armed patrols of the facility and surrounding areas, monitor access points and visitor activity, respond to incidents and alarms, and document actions according to site procedures. The officer must maintain required firearms qualifications and comply with applicable laws, company policies, and site-specific procedures for carrying and handling assigned equipment. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Industry-specific security training is required; licensing may also be required under state or local regulations.

Requirements

At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Satisfactorily complete a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a financial institution.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, ATM locations, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security concerns.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, observe visitor activity, and follow site procedures for restricted areas, deliveries, and contractor access.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document actions according to site procedures.
Maintain required firearms qualifications and follow applicable laws, company policies, and site-specific procedures for carrying and handling assigned equipment.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
