About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed patrol Security Officer for a healthcare location in Long Beach, California. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role involves providing customer service, communicating professionally, and responding to security-related needs with integrity.

The schedule is Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Pay is $23.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, patient care areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally while following healthcare facility protocols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying authorized access, and directing patients and visitors to appropriate locations.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly.
• Communicate relevant information to site leadership, emergency responders, and Allied Universal management.
