As a Security Officer supporting a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine checks, manage access control activities, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a professional environment. Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
  • Possess CPR certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor access points, verify visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and delivery records in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of banking areas, offices, entrances, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, facility concerns, and policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
