About The Position

As a Security Officer Gated Private Island Community in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying visitors and credentials, and maintaining accurate access records. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian entry points, verify authorization, manage visitor and vendor access, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entry points, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with residents, guests, property staff, and emergency responders while reporting unusual conditions and security-related concerns.
