As a Security Officer Entry Control Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. This is a driving post. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Applicants must have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or at least 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or at least 3 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge and credential verification, and authorized entry and exit screening at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry points, gates, and/or reception areas to help support security-related protocols, verify identification and delivery documentation, and document visitor, vendor, and vehicle activity in required logs and systems.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, policy concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or conditions requiring follow-up.
  • Support site emergency response activities by following post orders, controlling access during changing conditions, preparing clear reports, and sharing timely information related to security-related events and observations.
