About The Position

As a Security Officer - Corporate Bank Tower in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, assist with access control and badge-related activities, and provide professional customer service. You will communicate clearly with employees, visitors, and stakeholders while supporting a secure environment. Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Hold CPR certification, preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established reporting procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and assist with maintaining controlled entry to restricted areas.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including the business areas, parking areas, and perimeter, while documenting unusual conditions and security-related concerns.
• Complete accurate activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
