About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Patrol Unarmed Security Officer for a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Carol Stream, Illinois. The officer will safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and providing customer service and clear communication. The role is scheduled for weekend morning/day shifts: Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Pay is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, consistent with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver's license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, vendors, and employees while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of business areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access by verifying visitor, contractor, and delivery credentials in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, communicate observations, and request assistance when needed.
Report hazards, unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations promptly to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
