About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Visitor Credentialing in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a dynamic logistics and distribution location. You will help manage access points, verify credentials, monitor badge activity, and provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers. Using computer or tablet systems, you will document activity, communicate clearly, and help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, authorizing entry in accordance with site procedures, and maintaining visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records.
  • Screen inbound and outbound personnel, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements, reporting access concerns or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
