About The Position

As a Security Officer X Ray Screening Support in Garner, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, respond to alarms, support X-ray screening, and use computer or tablet systems to document activity. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation protocols.
  • Monitor access points, visitor activity, and/or delivery areas; verify credentials and direct individuals in accordance with site requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including the business perimeter, to identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
  • Document incidents, observations, and shift activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
