About The Position

Responsible for ensuring the operation and monitoring of all security equipment and enforcing company security policies, procedures, and regulations to help protect employees, visitors, assets, and facilities while maintaining a safe and secure work environment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Up to two years of related security, law enforcement, military, facilities, or customer service experience preferred.
Experience monitoring security systems, access control systems, or surveillance equipment preferred.
U.S. Citizenship required for site-specific security clearance.
Ability to monitor and respond effectively to alarms and emergency situations.
Ability to coordinate emergency response activities in a calm and professional manner.
Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
Ability to create clear, accurate, and detailed incident reports.
Ability to maintain confidential information and handle sensitive situations professionally.
Ability to operate video surveillance, access control, and security monitoring systems.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to maintain records, logs, and filing systems accurately.
Ability to follow established procedures and exercise sound judgment.
Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and during emergency situations.
Knowledge of security, safety, and emergency response practices.

Nice To Haves

Active Class D Security License required at time of hire.
Valid Florida Driver’s License required at time of hire.
Experience operating access control systems, badge management systems, and CCTV surveillance systems.
Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or corporate security environment.
CPR, First Aid, or other emergency response certifications preferred.
Experience preparing incident reports and conducting security patrols.

Responsibilities

Monitor and respond to security alarms and emergency situations.
Coordinate responses to emergency alarms, including fire, panic, chemical room, support equipment, and medical emergencies.
Direct emergency personnel and vehicles to the appropriate incident location.
Create complete and accurate incident reports and distribute them to appropriate personnel in accordance with company procedures.
Maintain records and filing systems, both electronic and hardcopy.
Maintain key control sign-out procedures and report any losses or issues to management.
Answer incoming phone calls and transfer calls to appropriate personnel when required.
Operate and program video surveillance and access control systems.
Create employee and visitor access badges and assign access levels as directed by management.
Maintain logs, inspection records, and other security-related documentation.
Respond to requests from employees at the security window and through email communications.
Respond appropriately to alarms and events following established operating procedures.
Monitor parking areas for improperly parked or abandoned vehicles.
Conduct security tours and inspections as outlined by company procedures.
Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position.
Comply with, enforce, and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
