Requirements

Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Ability to operate forklift, hand truck and pallet jack.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs.
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
Read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents.
Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
Balances team and individual responsibilities.
Consistently at work and on time.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Driver’s License or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Manual loading and unloading of freight using a pallet jack, hand truck, or forklift.
General labor and warehouse maintenance, including sweeping floors and storing equipment.
Assisting shipping and receiving by unloading trucks.
Checking in merchandise and matching purchase orders to sales orders.
Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and/or shipped.
Verifying and noting the count and condition of cargo received, determining when to refuse or accept with notation.
Recording documents to appropriate forms and/or logbooks.
Verifying that proper identification is attached.
Sorting cargo received by account or intended location, and storing in the proper location by part number.
Performing forklift duties and learning to cube basic loads.
Performing required before-, during-, and after-operation “user maintenance” and providing required reports.
Maintaining and protecting all property entrusted to you in excellent condition.
Scanning outbound shipments to ensure accuracy and quality control.
Ensuring and complying with all procedures established to ensure product is being properly controlled.
Communicating all problems and concerns regarding shipment scanning to the Team Leader.
Identifying damaged items staged in outbound bays.
Inspecting outbound products for quality assurance.
Accurately documenting results of outbound audits upon completion.
Performing any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.
