In this position, you’ll play an important role in safely receiving, staging, tracking, and processing hazardous waste materials while supporting a safe and compliant operation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Previous forklift operating experience
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check
- Comfortable working in a physically active role involving standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and reaching
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the hazardous waste or environmental services industry is a plus
- Knowledge of DOT or RCRA regulations is preferred
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts to unload incoming trailers and move materials throughout the facility
- Verify incoming shipments and place materials in designated staging or storage areas
- Follow DOT and facility segregation guidelines for hazardous waste handling
- Complete inspections and compliance checks including drum integrity, aisle spacing, and labeling requirements
- Perform daily forklift inspections and basic equipment maintenance such as cleaning and adding fluids
- Track inventory movements and complete required paperwork including weight sheets, reports, and tracking logs
- Assist with material preparation, processing operations, and drum sampling as needed
- Other duties as assigned
