As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, support access control, and respond to alarms as needed. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment for visitors and tenants. Requirements

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical situations, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, exterior entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for security-related concerns, hazardous conditions, suspicious activity, and policy violations; document observations and report incidents according to site procedures.
• Assist with access control, directions, lost-and-found inquiries, and communication with mall management, tenants, and first responders as needed.
