About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Branch Flex Officer to serve and safeguard clients across a range of industries. The Security Officer Flex Office Building role is based in Warren, Michigan, and offers exposure to various sites and opportunities for career advancement. The position pays $17.49 per hour and typically involves 30–40 hours of work per week. Schedules vary week to week through manager-assigned shifts and shifts claimed using the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments change regularly, and officers may be assigned irregular shifts with little to no advance notice to support client needs.

Applicants must be able to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends, and be available for last-minute scheduling and travel to assignments. The role requires reliable transportation and a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants are subject to background investigation and, where legally permitted, drug screening. State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.

• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in the event of a fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter the property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized property removal follows client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, and maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
