About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for visitor screening at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Carol Stream, Illinois. The role serves and safeguards clients by monitoring access points, screening visitors and deliveries, supporting badge and access-control processes, maintaining a visible presence, helping deter incidents, and providing professional customer service and communication. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Pay is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Access-control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Screen people, packages, deliveries, and/or vehicles entering the facility according to access-control and screening procedures.
Verify identification, credentials, visitor authorizations, and delivery documentation, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate locations.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Maintain accurate screening, visitor, and incident records.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the facility perimeter as assigned.
