About The Position

Security officers are responsible for maintaining the overall security of a property. They use various tactics to prevent theft, vandalism, and damage. Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring access, assisting guests, responding to emergencies, and enforcing parking regulations. A key aspect of the role is constant awareness of risks and concerns.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED Required
0 - 3 years of directly related or closely related experience
Guard Card Required
Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements.
Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.
Professional customer service skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and a team player.
Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.
Time management and time-critical prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

Respond to alarms and emergency situations.
Make periodic tours to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
Greet incoming guests and tenants, providing information regarding the site and surrounding area as requested by visitors.
Guard and monitor premises to prevent theft, property destruction, violence, or rules and safety violations.
Perform fire prevention, safety, and maintenance tasks, and parking/traffic enforcement.
Other duties as assigned.
