About The Position

Culver Academies is a private boarding school seeking diverse talent to support its mission and enrich its learning environment. Located on the shore of Lake Maxinkuckee in Culver, Indiana, the campus spans 1,800 acres with historic Gothic buildings. The Security Officer will ensure the safety and security of persons and CEF property, responding to emergency and non-emergency situations. This role involves campus patrol by foot, bicycle, or vehicle, securing buildings, investigating suspicious activities, and contributing to a safe, crime-free campus environment.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
Must be at least 21 years old
Must possess a valid Indiana driver’s license with a good driving record
Willing to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, and special events
Required to complete Emergency Medical training as soon as possible after employment

Responsibilities

Ensure the safety and security of persons and CEF property.
Respond to emergency and non-emergency situations or conditions.
Provide assistance or take actions appropriate to the situation within the legal limits of Campus Safety/Security authority.
Conduct security surveillance of Culver Academies.
Perform campus patrol by foot, bicycle, or vehicle.
Check and secure buildings.
Investigate reports of suspicious activities.
Strive towards a safe, crime-free campus environment.
