The Security Officer is responsible for patrolling assigned areas, maintaining surveillance of the premises, and ensuring the safety of patrons and employees. This role involves actively monitoring the casino floor to prevent criminal offenses, identify and address nuisances, and manage suspicious individuals. The officer must respond promptly to emergency situations, provide necessary aid, and be capable of physically intervening when required, including administering CPR. Responsibilities also include verifying credentials to prevent unauthorized access to the gaming floor during downtime, escorting and overseeing the transfer of funds from gaming areas to count rooms, and utilizing radio communication for coordination with the security base. The role requires completing incident reports, providing information to patrons, assisting in emergency evacuations, and delivering exceptional customer service. Adherence to safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures is paramount. Additionally, the Security Officer may be assigned to drive a company vehicle for parking lot rover duties and perform other assigned tasks.
