Miller Road Mansfield TX 76063 Work hours: Thursday/ Friday 6:30am-2:30pm Saturday/Sunday 6:30am-6:30Pm Security Department highlights Work in a mission-driven environment focused on supporting individuals in recovery and helping maintain a safe, therapeutic setting. Utilize communication, conflict resolution, and de-escalation skills to manage challenging situations effectively. Play a key role in emergency response and maintaining a secure and safe environment. Opportunity to work independently while collaborating closely with clinical staff, leadership, and law enforcement when needed. Variety of responsibilities including patrols, emergency response, incident documentation, and customer service.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is required
  • Associate's Degree Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or closely related field is preferred
  • 6 months of security officer, law enforcement, or military police experience is strongly preferred
  • Customer Service experience is strongly preferred
  • 2 Years security, law enforcement, or military police is preferred
  • 2 Years healthcare or education is preferred
  • DL - Drivers License Class C and insurable Upon Hire is required
  • ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 30 Days is required
  • NCSO - Non-Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 2 (not required if have Level 3) 120 Days is required
  • CSO - Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 3 (2 attempts permitted). Biannual recertification. 120 Days is required
  • TASER Certification Complete Course & Certification (2 attempts permitted). Annual recertification. 120 Days is required

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or closely related field.
  • 6 months of security officer, law enforcement, or military police experience is strongly preferred
  • Customer Service experience is strongly preferred
  • 2 Years security, law enforcement, or military police is preferred
  • 2 Years healthcare or education is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Patrol buildings and clinics for unlocked secured areas for after-hour entry.
  • Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities.
  • Reports and escalates situations to the Threat
  • Provides quality customer service to Texas Health employees, visitors, and guest.
  • Responds timely to calls for service and emergency situations.
  • Assesses the situation and utilizes appropriate de-escalation measures
  • Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice.
  • Strong Unit Based Council (UBC).
