About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a financial institution in the Bronx, New York. The role provides assigned, consistent weekly shifts, with a six-month commitment to the designated site and schedule. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and adjust hours as needed. The listed schedule is Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, and Saturday, 9:30 AM–2:00 PM. The pay rate is $22.00–$23.00 per hour.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out site security procedures and policies, monitoring the location, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and documenting activity. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and observe activity in and around the location; report unusual conditions, potential policy violations, and security concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow established site procedures, and contact emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, customer areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation in accordance with company and site-specific requirements.
