As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Guardian in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this active role, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while helping create a welcoming environment for tenants, visitors, and staff.

Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, property policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, property concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and reporting security-related matters to site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and observe activity across the location to help to deter unauthorized entry, suspicious behavior, and/or other security-related concerns.
• Support daily operations by communicating with property management and/or building personnel regarding maintenance issues, disturbances, hazards, and other observed conditions during patrols.
