About The Position
United Protective Services is seeking a professional, dependable, and customer service-oriented Security Officer to join our team at a prestigious Class A high-rise office building. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe and secure environment for tenants, guests, and visitors. As a Security Officer, you will serve as the first point of contact for many building occupants and visitors. The ideal candidate is professional in appearance, approachable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering outstanding service while enforcing property policies and maintaining a strong security presence.
Requirements
- Previous security, customer service, hospitality, or related experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
- Ability to work independently while remaining an effective member of the security team.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and guests.
- Maintain a professional and welcoming presence throughout the property.
- Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the building, parking areas, and common spaces.
- Monitor the property for safety hazards, suspicious activity, and security concerns.
- Respond promptly and professionally to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations.
- Assist with access control and verify visitor and contractor credentials as needed.
- Provide directions, information, and assistance to building occupants and guests.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with property management, tenants, emergency responders, and fellow team members.
- Enforce property rules and company policies in a courteous and professional manner.
