About The Position

As a Security Officer - Medical Facility Overnight in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. Due to the safety sensitive nature of this role, qualified candidates must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law. This assignment is in a healthcare facility. As such, a tuberculosis (TB) test and certain vaccinations may be required.

Requirements

  • Have at least one year of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist hospital staff with de-escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary (within company and customer guidelines)
  • Transport deceased patients to the morgue, as needed
  • Assist in escorting patients from helicopter pad (high elevation) to the emergency room
  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established facility protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, hazards, and/or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain professional communication with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
