As a Security Officer - Overnight Medical Building in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally, and provide exceptional customer service. Due to the safety sensitive nature of this role, qualified candidates must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law. This assignment is in a healthcare facility. As such, a tuberculosis (TB) test and certain vaccinations may be required.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist hospital staff with de-escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary (within company and customer guidelines)
• Transport deceased patients to the morgue, as needed
• Assist in escorting patients from helicopter pad (high elevation) to the emergency room
• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorized entry as directed, and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns to site leadership.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with healthcare staff, visitors, and responding public service personnel.
