As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Support in Jamaica, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas at a community-focused care location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with staff and visitors, and report concerns promptly. Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, residents, and staff at a human services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and follow site procedures for admitting authorized individuals, vendors, and deliveries.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency services when needed.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with site procedures.
