As a Security Officer X Ray Parcel Examiner in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will use X-ray screening and access control procedures to help protect people, packages, and operations. You will monitor entry points, inspect items as required, communicate professionally with visitors and team members, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible, service-focused presence. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access screening requirements, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and property entering and exiting the facility in accordance with site procedures, using screening equipment and established protocols as assigned.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and delivery records, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregularities to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken according to site-specific procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
