About The Position

As a Security Officer X Ray Screening Operator in Fontana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government courthouse location, you will operate screening equipment, monitor access points, and help maintain an orderly environment for visitors, staff, and judicial operations. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to court visitors, judicial personnel, and staff while carrying out site-specific screening procedures and policies.
  • Screen visitors and their belongings using assigned screening equipment and established procedures; report prohibited items or concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying authorized entry and directing visitors to appropriate court areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response procedures.
  • Maintain accurate screening-related logs and communicate observations, incidents, and policy concerns to supervisory personnel.
