As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time X Ray Detection in Indianapolis, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeTue10:00 PM - 06:00 AM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and personal belongings at designated access points in accordance with applicable procedures.
  • Monitor screening equipment and access-control points; identify prohibited or unauthorized items and escalate concerns through established reporting channels.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading zones, facility access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
