As a Security Officer Welcome Desk in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk Officer at a dynamic retail location, where you will help support a welcoming environment through visitor management, access assistance, and front desk presence. In this stationary role, you will provide strong customer service, monitor security-related activity, and communicate with professionalism. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a front desk post.
  • Monitor access at the front desk by greeting visitors, checking identification and/or credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and communicating with authorized personnel regarding entry requests.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting activity and reporting concerns according to site procedures.
  • Support day-to-day operations at a retail location by answering questions, providing directions, observing lobby and entrance activity, and helping to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior.
