Join Allied Universal as a Residential Patrol Officer, where you will monitor and patrol apartment communities, remain visible to help discourage security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service to residents and guests. In this role, you will support access awareness, respond to security-related incidents, and bring a caring, agile, and reliable approach grounded in teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or property staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or maintenance-related concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner and report relevant details to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community, including common areas, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations, as assigned.
  • Monitor access points and observe on-site activity to help to deter unauthorized entry, policy violations, and/or unusual behavior within the location.
  • Document daily activity, incidents, and/or concerns in required reports and communicate noteworthy information to residents, property representatives, and/or Allied Universal personnel.
