About The Position

As a Security Officer Warehouse Access Screening in Beltsville, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and assist with directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas of the distribution location.
  • Control vehicle, driver, and delivery access at gates and entry points in accordance with site procedures; report unauthorized access attempts and irregular conditions.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, trailer yards, dock areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
