As a Security Officer Visitor Screening in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Screener in a healthcare location, you will help monitor entry points, conduct screening activities, and support access control processes while providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, screening protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Screen and monitor individuals entering the location, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed, and help to deter unauthorized entry or prohibited items.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related concerns, unusual activity, and/or access issues according to site policies.
  • Communicate with staff, visitors, and/or responders regarding screening procedures, directions, and security-related matters while maintaining a professional presence at assigned entry points.
  • Support daily operations by observing high-traffic areas, reporting hazards or concerns, and following post orders and healthcare location protocols.
