Requirements

  • Possess 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21 or more years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and front desk protocols at a government location.
  • Monitor access at the front desk by checking identification, verifying appointments, and documenting visitor activity in accordance with location policies.
  • Answer phones, greet incoming guests, and provide directions and/or general information while maintaining awareness of security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate with site contacts as needed.
  • Support emergency response activities by following post instructions, reporting concerns, and helping to coordinate access control during changing site conditions.
