Requirements

  • Possess 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utility location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, and document visitor, vehicle, and contractor access in accordance with post orders and location requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help identify potential concerns and report security-related issues.
  • Support screening and checkpoint operations, maintain accurate logs and reports, and follow established protocols for deliveries, keys, and restricted access areas.
