Requirements

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and front desk policies at a retail location.
  • Monitor lobby and front desk activity, greet incoming guests, verify identification when required, and help manage visitor access and check-in processes.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership or emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Maintain awareness of activity at the entrance and surrounding front desk area to help support order and report unusual or suspicious behavior.
  • Complete routine logs, reports, and/or communications related to visitor activity, incidents, and other front desk security-related matters.
